a public defender: Rowland state sentencing - CLARIFICATION | a public defender

  • Steven G. Erickson · 4 years ago
I went to Rowland's office involving Connecticut Police misconduct and other corruption issues as early as 1996.

I think he and his aids helped shut me up about corruption.

I was attacked on my property during a robbery attempt at night 10-11-01.

For using pepper spray I was arrested, and my assailant given immunity. Self-defense isn't legal.

I was sentenced to a year in prison, 3 years probation by Rockville Judge Jonathan Kaplan, Oct 2002. I had no previous record.

I lost my business and $500,000 in real estate, my dog, and the sum total of my honest, hard working life.

While in prison I dreamed of writing Rowland a nasty letter, with me out and he in prison. Governor John G. Rowland was still the Republican golden boy at that point and had his eye on the Presidency.

When I got out, I went straight to the newspapers and US State's Attys saying their was a corruption connection between Connecticut State Police Commissioner Arthur L. Spada and Governor John G. Rowland.

I also emailed and called Fox News until O'Riley did a talking point memo called "The Death of Shame in America" asking resident to march on Hartford and demand Rowland resign in that mid Dec. 2003 broadcast.

I can now write Rowland a letter with he in prison, me out, poetic justice ...
